Exterior painting looks simple from the ground, but reaching every part of a wall evenly and safely requires stable access. Ladders work for low single-storey walls; beyond that, scaffolding usually gives painters a steadier working platform.
Measure the surfaces
Note the height of each face and its length. Painters often move along a wall, so continuous runs of scaffolding can make the job faster than repeatedly shifting a short section.
Plan around the weather
Bangalore's monsoon months can delay exterior painting. Factor possible rain days into your rental duration rather than cutting it too fine.
Prep work needs access too
Crack filling, putty, primer and final coats all happen at height. Account for the full sequence, not just the final coat.
What to share when enquiring
- Number of floors and faces to be painted
- Approximate wall lengths
- Whether the building is occupied
- Expected start date and duration
